Robert Benjamin has been in the film industry since 1992.
In 1991, while studying DRAMA at the University of Cape Town, he wrote, directed and produced his first play, entitled GANGSTERS, at Cape Town’s Little Theatre, receiving rave reviews. He then decided to go into film making, working mainly as a PA & Assistant Director in the nineties.
Robert Wrote, Directed, Co-Edited and Produced his first feature, THE GHOST at the age of 26, starring Gavin van den Berg and Bo Petersen . The movie was picked up by Mnet Cable TV and premiered in 1998.
He then wrote, Directed, Edited and Produced the romantic film, LOST SOULS, starring Kevin Otto, which was also picked up by MNET Cable and premiered in 2000.
Robert then worked with Leon Rautenbach (Head of Mnet Local Productions) for a couple of years while developing screenplays, such as the futuristic CHASING HITLER, the supernatural WALKING WITH GOD and the Action/Thriller SHADOWS.
Between 2000 and 2010 Robert also worked on international and local features and commercials as a First Assistant Director.
Between 2012 and 2020 Robert worked mainly as a Line Producer and Exec Producer while developing the Screenplay ANGELS_THEY ARE AMONGST US.
Over the last 5 years, Robert took ANGELS from development to production and completed the post in September 2025. He described this passion project as a calling from God.
He is hoping to do a spin-off TV Series of ANGELS once ANGELS is released.

Desiree Christians’ love for filmmaking started back in the 90’s when she studied interior decorating.
During the 2000’s she worked mainly as an assistant director on a couple of German movies and some South African productions.
Between 2007-2012 she started working as Creative and Junior Producer at Young Artists Motion Pictures

Between 2013-2018 she worked as a Creative and Associate Producer at STUDIO RSA FILMS and then assisted in developing the story of ANGELS_THEY ARE AMONGST US with Robert Benjamin.
She is also involved in other Studio RSA Films’ television and film projects, which are currently still in development
She was also one of the Producers on the movie ANGELS_THEY ARE AMONGST US, starring Keenan Arrison, Brumilda van Rensburg and Sello Maake KaNcube
